Pictures can be uploaded directly to our yearbook program by clicking on the following link: https://images.jostens.com?user=1168494&pw=redcoats All pictures submitted must be jpgs. The following is a list of deadlines for seniors:
September 30th: Deadline for summer, junior year candids, and the junior prom
November 4th: Deadline for baby pictures
November 25th: Deadline for Berlin fair, Halloween, spirit week, spirit dance, powderpuff, and homecomingBHS Main Site: BHS To Strictly Enforce Cell Phone and iPod PolicyIt has been the policy of the staff and administration of Berlin High School that, to create a rigorous academic environment, the use of cell phones, music players, and any other electronic devices (not specifically needed for classroom instruction or individual education plan provision) are not allowed during the school day. This year, the administration and staff will be strictly enforcing this policy. Cell phones and other electronics must not be used, or even visible on the student, during the time from 7:25 AM to 2:10 PM. Wed. August 27 and Thur. August 28 will be transition days where staff will be verbally warning students if they are violating the policy. Starting Friday, August 29, any student observed with a cell phone or other electronic device will be asked to turn them over to a teacher. The electronic device can be reclaimed at the end of school at the Assistant Principal's Office. Failure to surrender the electronic device will result in discipline for insubordination. Continued violation of the electronics policy will result in further disciplinary action - office detention, ISS etc. The full policy will be outlined in the student handbook.
BHS Main Site: Senior Portraits DeadlineThe deadline for portraits done with Art Rich is August 31st. If you will be getting your portraits taken with another photographer, please email Mrs. Kuethman for the specifications that your portrait must meet in order to be put into the yearbook. There are no exceptions to these specifications. The deadline for portraits taken with other photographers will be September 12th. Please be advised that Art Rich will now be charging a $75 sitting fee since the two free sessions have already occurred. email: jkuethman@berlinschools.org
BHS Main Site: Freshman Orientation ProgramIncoming freshmen and their parents are encouraged to attend the freshman orientation program at BHS on Friday, August 22, starting at 1:00 PM in the Gibney Gymnasium. Freshmen students will receive their schedules, locker assignments and get a tour of the building. Current students will act as guides and assist the incoming freshmen in finding their rooms, and will help to fill out the school emergency card information. BHS Individual Sports: Roncaioli Wins 2000 m Steeplechase at StatesJustin Roncaioli ran away with the JV heat of the State Steeplechase at Willow Brook Park on June 18. Justin's time was 20 seconds faster than the next finisher. As a Junior, Justin is looking forward to competing in the varsity heat next season. Justin ran a perfect race, hurdling all the barriers and managing the water jump particularly well. It shows just how hard he works at every phase of what he does. Drama Club: Drama ClubHello! For anyone who is thinking about joining drama club in the fall, I'm here to tell you to just go ahead and do it! We cover every aspect of theater from stage acting to improvisation to monologues to behind the scenes crew work. We meet every Thursday after school. Our first meeting will be September 4th at 2:20 in the auditorium. See you there! BHS Main Site: Students to received schedules for the 2008-2009 School YearAttention Parents and Student Body: Students will be receiving their schedules for the 2008-2009 school year during a homeroom period on Tuesday, June 17th.
