BHS Math Department

Hi I am Mrs. Thurston, I am a graduate of CCSU with a degree in Mathematics and Earth Science and a masters degree in Secondary Education. Along with teaching math at BHS I am the women's and men's swim coach and co-advisor of the class of 2010. Through raising my own five children I have learned the value of communicating with and educating today's youth. I strive to reach as many students as possible with a firm and structured classroom. I expect all students to maintain a well organized notebook and to demonstrate mastery of the concepts through work shown on homework as well as assessments. I encourage students to seek extra help during class, after school and before school. My goal here at Berlin high is to create and active learner and to build self confidence in the students both within the classroom walls and in the school community.
